We have been in business since 1977, so we are celebrating our 34th year.
No. We are frequently asked that question because of our professional image and the efficient way we conduct our business. However, we are a privately owned business proudly serving the Grand Rapids, Michigan area.
Yes. We do residential and commercial interiors and exteriors. We have experience painting many different types of surfaces, and we can make small repairs when necesary before painting.
What materials should be used to complete the job?
How long will an estimate take to complete?
The length of time for us to do an estimate will depend on how much work you need done. Please plan on at least an hour for us to thoroughly inspect the surfaces to paint, talk about any repairs you might need and assess how much time the job will take. Then we will email or mail you an estimate expalaining exactly what we plan to do and how much it will cost.
Absolutely. We have liability insurance for all the work we do.
Yes, almost always we supply the paint. We want you to have the best possible materials to not only beautify your home or business but provide long lasting value. We will work with your paint if it is a prominent brand of good quality.
VOC's are Volatile Organic Compounds. These compounds can be found in the vapors that escape from a painted surface as the paint cures. Paints generally have a voc's/lb rating. We strive to use the best paint with the lowest voc rating at all times.
Will my interior painting project smell?
There will invariably be a slight odor when a painting project has been completed. However, modern, high quality acrylic paints have little to no order after they are dry.
Will there be a big mess in my home when the painting project is complete?
No. Speese Painting works very hard to mask off areas around where we are painting. We go to extreme measures to keep your home protected from the mess of cleaning surfaces to paint and from the paint itself. We clean up all of our waste when we are done and dispose of it in the proper manner.
No. The workers working in your home or business will be Speese Painting employees and not sub contractors.
Do you use subcontractors?
Do I have to air out my house when the job is complete?
Not necessarily. Modern low odor acrylic paint rarely requires a huge amount of ventilation to dissipate the odor. In some cases we will ask you to close up the room and turn on the air conditioning or heat (depending on the season) to control the humidity in the room and facilitate drying.
